Guesthouse Policies

When is the check-in time?

Check-in time is from 14:00 until 20:00.

Can I check in before 14:00?

Check-in before 14:00 is subject to availability and must be requested in advance. Please contact us prior to your arrival date to ensure a smooth process.

Can I leave my luggage if the room is not ready before 14:00?

Yes, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us until your room is ready. In the meantime, we will do our best to prepare your room as soon as possible and may offer you an earlier check-in.

Can I arrive after 20:00?

It is generally not possible to check in after 20:00. However, we may be able to arrange a later check-in on a case-by-case basis, depending on availability and if we receive sufficient advance notice. Please contact us before making a reservation to inquire about the possibility of retrieving the keys after 20:00. All requests must be confirmed by us.

When is the check-out time?

Check-out time is by 11:00. If you need a later check-out, please contact us before your arrival or during your stay, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. If a later check-out is not possible, you are welcome to leave your luggage at the reception and pick it up later.

Can I smoke in the room?

Smoking inside any establishment is prohibited in Slovenia according to the legislation act Restriction on the Use of Tobacco and Related Products Act (Zakon o omejevanju uporabe tobačnih in povezanih izdelkov – ZOUTPI (Uradni list RS, št. 9/17 z dne 24. 2. 2017). Therefore, we ask guests to respect the fact that all our rooms are strictly non-smoking rooms. We reserve the right to charge an exceptional flat-rate cleaning fee of 100,00 EUR for smoking in our rooms.

Are pets allowed at your property?

Pets are allowed at our guesthouse at an extra charge of 10.00 EUR per pet, per night.

Can I get an extra bed in the room?

The general occupancy is 1-2 persons per room. Extra beds for a third or fourth occupant are allowed only in the Superior Double Room (surcharge applies). Reservations of extra beds must be arranged before arrival and are only final when confirmed by our guesthouse.

Is my child entitled to a free stay or discount?

All children up to 2 years old stay free of charge when using the existing bedding or baby crib.

 

All children from 3 to 12 years old pay an additional 25.00 EUR per night when using the existing bedding or an extra bed. Individuals above the age of 12 are considered adults by our guesthouse.

 

An adult person in a room is charged 50.00 EUR per night for using an extra bed.

Do we have to pay extra if our child sleeps with us in the bed?

Children from 3 years old to 11 years old can stay for 25.00 EUR per child per night in existing bedding. Children 12 years old and over stay for 50.00 EUR per child per night in existing bedding.

How do I make an online reservation?

To make a reservation, please visit www.vilaalpina.si. Enter your preferred arrival and departure dates, along with the number of rooms you need. You will have the opportunity to select the number of adults and children in the next step. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your booking. Once your reservation is successful, you will receive a confirmation email.

I have made a reservation but didn’t receive any confirmation.

How can I confirm my reservation?

Reservations can be confirmed by providing your credit card details for a pre-authorisation or by making an advance payment as a guarantee of your arrival.

Am I required to enter my credit card details to book a room on your website?

Yes. A credit card number is required to book a room at our guesthouse. For your security, the credit card number will be encrypted before being transmitted over the internet.

I’m having trouble making an online reservation. Is there a number I can call for help?

If you encounter any issues during the reservation process, please call our Front Desk at +386 40 609 669 or send us an e-mail at info@vilaalpina.si.

 

I am unable to complete my reservation because the website is stuck in an endless processing loop. What should I do?

It is likely that our system cannot process your credit card due to issues with 3DSV or 3DSV2 security protocols. Please contact your credit card provider or the issuing bank to check if there are any restrictions on online authorisations or if your credit card supports 3DSV or 3DSV2 security protocols.

Why do I have to provide my credit card number during the reservation process?

To confirm your reservation, we will require your credit card details for a pre-authorisation at any time before your arrival date. Pre-authorisation acts as a credit check to ensure that your credit card is valid and has sufficient funds available to cover all or part of the reservation costs. During the pre-authorisation process, the amount for your reservation will be temporarily held as unavailable for a specified period. If you select one of our non-refundable or pay-in-advance offers, your credit card will be charged the full amount at the time of reservation.

My credit card is valid. Why can’t I complete my reservation?

Please double-check that all the information from your credit card has been entered correctly, and verify the type of credit card you are using. We only accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. If all the details are accurate, please reach out to your credit card provider or your issuing bank to inquire about any limitations regarding online authorisations, or to confirm whether your credit card supports 3DSV or 3DSV2 security protocols.

How can I book a room if I don’t have a credit card?

If you do not have a credit card, we can prepare a pro forma invoice and send it to you via email. In this case, payment must be made by bank transfer prior to your arrival. To request a pro forma invoice, please email us to info@vilaalpina.si.

 

Changes, Cancellations and Payments

Can I change or cancel my reservation free of charge?

Whether you can change or cancel your reservation without incurring a fee depends on the cancellation policy you selected during the booking process.
The cancellation policy is shown when you choose your preferred room type and rate, and it is also included in the confirmation details of your reservation. We kindly ask that you pay close attention to the terms and conditions while making your booking, as exceptions to the policy may not be possible later on.

How can I change or cancel my confirmed reservation?

To change or cancel your reservation, please send an email to info@vilaalpina.si.

 

What happens if I forget to change or cancel my reservation?

Unfortunately, if you fail to change or cancel your reservation on time, you will be charged the total amount of the reservation.

Can I pay when I arrive at your guesthouse?

When making a reservation, you have the option to pay upon arrival. However, we will require your credit card information to perform a pre-authorisation, which secures your booking. For more information on pre-authorisations, please refer to our Guesthouse Policies.

Services and Facilities

Do you serve breakfast?

Our guests can choose between two breakfast options:

 

  1. We offer delicious breakfast baskets that contain fresh goodies from local farms and can be delivered directly to you every morning.
  2. You can also enjoy a rich buffet breakfast at Garden Village Bled, located just across the street from Vila Alpina.

 

What kind of products does your breakfast basket contain?

Our breakfast baskets contain only fresh goodies from local farms, such as freshly baked bread and croissants, daily fresh milk, yoghurts of various flavours, butter and cheese, free range eggs, homemade beef/pork salami, honey and fruit jams, fresh seasonal fruits, homemade granola with chocolate, fruit or nuts, and homemade juice.

 

Gluten free and vegetarian options are also available upon request.

 

Is breakfast included in the price?

No, breakfast is not included in the room price.

 

  1. Breakfast basket: 14.00 EUR per day, per person (the minimum order is for 2 persons)
  2. Buffer breakfast: 17.00 EUR per day, per adult and 10.00 EUR per day, per child.

 

How can I order breakfast?

You can book breakfast online during the reservation process or request it directly at the reception upon arrival. Please note that breakfast orders must be placed no later than 18:00 for the following day.

Is there a kitchen in the room?

Our rooms are not equipped with kitchens. However, each room includes a kettle, cups, glasses, complimentary tea and coffee, and a mini fridge for your convenience.

 

Is there a common kitchen at your property?

While our guesthouse does not feature a communal kitchen, we are conveniently located near numerous excellent restaurants and bars. We would be delighted to provide recommendations upon your arrival.

Do you offer rooms with balcony?

While our rooms do not feature balconies, we offer two spacious terraces that are accessible to all guests at any time.

Do you have parking?

Vila Alpina provides complimentary private parking. However, reservations for a parking spot must be made in advance and confirmed by the Front Desk.

We have an electric car. Where can we charge it?

There are numerous charging stations for electric cars in Bled. The locations of 38 such charging stations may be viewed on this map.

Can we store our bicycles?

Yes. Guests can store their bicycles in our shed.

We travel with high-end/expensive bicycles. Can we store them in our room?

Storing bicycles in guest rooms is not permitted due to space limitations and safety regulations.
