When is the check-in time?

Check-in time is from 14:00 until 20:00. Arrivals after 20:00 are not possible, so we kindly ask you to revise your travel plans, if needed, and arrive on time. Should you fail to do so, your reservation will be marked as a no show. Arrivals before 14:00 are always on request and subject to availability, but we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please make sure to contact us before your arrival date to ensure a smooth check-in.


When is the check-out time?

Check-out time is by 11:00. However, if you need a later check-out, contact us before arrival, or during your stay, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. If a later check-out should not be possible, you are welcome to leave your luggage at the Front Desk and retrieve it at a later time.


Do your serve breakfast?

We do not serve breakfast inside our guesthouse. Instead, we proudly support local businesses in our town so, in that spirit, we have partnered up with Garden Village Bled to offer breakfast in their excellent restaurant for the price of 14,00 EUR/adult/day and 10,00 EUR/child/day.


Can I get your price list?

Our prices are subject to change depending on the period of stay and availability of accommodation. Accommodation prices can be found by selecting your dates on our website at or by sending an inquiry to


How do I make an online reservation?

Visit and insert your desired dates of arrival and departure, and the number of rooms (the number of adults and children can be selected in the next step). Then follow the steps as displayed on the screen. After successfully completing your reservation, you will receive an e-mail confirming your reservation.


Why do I have to provide my credit card number during the reservation process?

To guarantee your reservation you will be asked for your credit card details to perform a pre-authorisation up to 6 days before the arrival date. Pre-authorisation is a type of credit check. We use it to ensure that the credit card is valid and that there are sufficient funds to cover all or part of the reservation costs. With the pre-authorisation, the amount of the reservation is »held« as unavailable for a certain period. If you have chosen one of our non-refundable offers, your credit card will be charged for the entire amount when making the reservation.


My credit card is valid. Why can’t I complete my reservation?

Please check once again if all the data from your credit card have been correctly entered, and check the type of credit card. We accept only MasterCard, Visa and American Express. If all the data is correct, please contact your credit card provider or home issuing bank to check if there are any limitations for online authorizations.


How can I book a room if I don’t have a credit card?

If you don’t have a credit card, we can alternatively prepare a pro forma invoice and send it to you via e-mail. In this case, the payment is made by bank transfer before your arrival. You can request a pro forma invoice by sending us an e-mail to


Can I cancel my reservation free of charge?

If you book online, the cancellation policy is displayed when selecting the preferred room. The cancellation policy is also included in the confirmation of your reservation. Therefore, we kindly ask you to pay attention to the terms and conditions when making your booking. In the case of non-refundable reservations, payment is made at the moment of booking and later cancellations or changes of dates are not possible.


How can I find out what is included in the accommodation price?

After selecting the dates at, you’ll find a detailed description of what is included in the price of the selected room. A detailed description is also included in the reservation confirmation e-mail that you receive after completing your reservation.


Is breakfast included in the price of the room?

Breakfast is not included in the price. It costs additional 14,00 EUR/adult/day and 10,00 EUR/child/day.


Do I need to reserve breakfast in advance?

Breakfast can be booked online when you’re booking your room at our guesthouse. With so many guests returning to stay with us, though, we’d suggest you contact us prior to your arrival to make a reservation for breakfast.


How can I confirm my reservation?

Reservations can be confirmed by entering your credit card details or by paying an advance as a guarantee of arrival.

Do you have parking space?

Vila Alpina provides complimentary private parking. However, reservations for a parking spot must be made in advance and confirmed by the Front Desk.


Can I pay when I arrive at the guesthouse?

You can pay upon arrival. We will just ask for your credit card details upon booking to perform a pre-authorisation, which will guarantee your room. To learn more about pre-authorisations, please check our Guest House Policies.


Are pets allowed in your properties?

Pets are allowed in all our properties at an extra charge of 10,00 EUR/pet/night.


Is there a kitchen in your rooms?

Our guesthouse or rooms do not have a kitchen. However, in each room, we provide a kettle, cups and glasses. You will also find cutlery and plates in our daily lounge, where you can sit down and have breakfast inside or outside on our lovely terrace.


Can I get an extra bed in the room?

The general occupancy is 1-2 persons per room. Extra beds for a third or fourth occupant are allowed only in the Superior Double Rooms (surcharge applies). Reservations of extra beds must be arranged before arrival and are only final when confirmed by our guesthouse.


Is my child entitled to a free stay or discount?

All children up to 2 years old stay free of charge when using the existing bedding or baby crib. All children from 3 to 12 years old pay an additional 10,00 EUR/night when using the existing bedding or an extra bed. Individuals above the age of 12 are considered adults by our guesthouse. An adult person in a room is charged 20,00 EUR/night for using an extra bed. These costs are not calculated in the room rate and will be charged separately.

Am I required to enter my credit card details to book a room on your website?

Yes. A credit card number is required to book a room at our guesthouse. For your security, the credit card number will be encrypted before being transmitted over the internet.


Can I smoke in the room?

Smoking inside any establishment is prohibited in Slovenia according to the legislation act Restriction on the Use of Tobacco and Related Products Act (Zakon o omejevanju uporabe tobačnih in povezanih izdelkov – ZOUTPI (Uradni list RS, št. 9/17 z dne 24. 2. 2017). Therefore, we ask guests to respect the fact that all our rooms are non-smoking rooms. We reserve the right to charge an exceptional flat-rate cleaning fee of 100,00€ for smoking in our rooms.
